Premium New Zealand Velvet Antler for Health & Stamina

Velvet antler refers to the soft, blood-rich young antlers of a deer before they harden. It is the traditional herbal name for antlers harvested while they are still in a growing, velvety state with active blood circulation.

Velvet antlers are typically harvested within two months of initial growth, when the tissue is still soft and evenly covered with fine hair. Antlers within one month of growth are especially tender and rich in blood, and are considered most effective for medicinal use.

What Is Velvet Antler?

In traditional East Asian medicine, velvet antler is believed to nourish qi (vital energy), blood, and yang energy. It is used to support immunity, enhance blood production, improve circulation, and strengthen overall vitality.

Velvet antler contains various growth factors, hormones, amino acids, and fatty acids that help strengthen bones, muscles, ligaments, cartilage, nerves, and internal organs.

Velvet Antler (Upper Section) 75g

This section of velvet antler has a high tissue density while remaining soft in texture. It is rich in high-quality collagen and other beneficial nutrients, making it one of the most commonly used parts when preparing traditional herbal tonics. It is known for supporting immune function, promoting healthy blood production, and helping protect the heart and stomach. It may also assist with recovery from chronic fatigue and post-illness weakness. Because of these properties, it is widely used and considered suitable for adults in general, including women recovering from childbirth and individuals with anemia.

It is commonly used for:

  • Supports energy and fatigue recovery
  • Aids healthy blood production (helpful for anemia)
  • Most commonly used part for traditional herbal tonics
  • Traditionally used for pregnancy and postpartum recovery
  • Supports reproductive hormone balance and vitality

Directions for Use & Storage

For traditional herbal preparation:
Add 75g (2 nyang / 1 pack) of velvet antler to approximately 20 herbal decoction packs and boil together for consumption.

  • 75g velvet antler
  • 200g jujube (red dates)
  • 120g ginseng
  • A small amount of ginger
  • Add approximately 4 liters of water

Simmer on low heat for 30 minutes. Drink half a cup twice daily. The same ingredients can be re-boiled 2–3 additional times. One 75g portion is typically consumed over 20 days by one adult.
